$12.5 million manufacturing grant round opens in Queensland

Round 2 of the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program (TQMGP) is now open for applications, with $12.5 million in grant funding available to eligible Queensland manufacturers.

The Queensland Government is investing $79.1 million over three years through the TQMGP, delivered through six competitive rounds, with a new round opening approximately every six months.

The program is supporting innovation, advanced technology and job creation in Queensland’s manufacturing sector.

What the funding means for manufacturers

Eligible businesses can apply for up to $1.5 million in matched grants through Round 2.

The funding is available to support eligible manufacturing projects, with the program focused on innovation, advanced technology and job creation.

The TQMGP is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development.

Applications close 25 November

Applications close at 1pm on 25 November 2026.

No late applications will be accepted.

Businesses considering an application can attend a webinar on Thursday 8 October 2026 at 12pm. The session will cover eligibility, competitive scoring and timelines, with an opportunity to ask questions.

Grant agreements and security

Successful TQMGP applicants are required to execute a grant agreement with the Queensland Government.

Under the agreement, the Queensland Government may require security arrangements as part of executing a funding agreement.

Applicants should confirm their financier or bank is satisfied with these arrangements before applying.

Security over assets can be provided instead of a bank guarantee.
