WFTN Cocktails for Charity Raises Record $40,000

The Women in Forests & Timber Network (WFTN) Queensland Cocktails for Charity has delivered its biggest fundraising result in the event’s history, raising a record-breaking $40,000 for Zephyr Education.

More than 120 industry members, colleagues and supporters came together for an afternoon of connection, generosity and fundraising. These funds will help Zephyr Education continue its vital work supporting children whose education has been disrupted by domestic and family violence.

Donations, raffle ticket sales and the live charity auction all contributed to the record result. The auction generated significant interest and friendly competition, with framed and signed State of Origin jerseys from both the men’s and women’s teams, complete with certificates of authenticity, alongside an Emporium South Bank Staycation and High Tea experience.

The raffle was also strongly supported, with attendees getting behind an impressive range of donated prizes while raising funds for Zephyr Education.

WFTN Queensland acknowledged the contribution of attendees, donors, auction bidders, raffle participants, prize contributors and sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor Woodhouse; Gold Sponsors ITI Australia, James Hardie, Porta, Bretts and FWPA; Silver Sponsors Langs, Parkside Timber, SmartFrame by Tilling, Weathertex and Vida; Bronze Sponsors FTMA, Megabeam, AKD, Wilson Timbers, NTHA and HQ Plantations; donation sponsors; and Annual Partner Wesbeam.

The event was also made possible through the commitment of the WFTN Queensland Committee: Tahlia Bellotti (NTHA), Jenni Day (Versace Timbers), Jacinta Colley (Vida Wood), Dee Atkinson (Wesbeam), Casey Holmes (Dindas) and Alicia Langfield (NTHA), who volunteer their time to deliver the event each year.

With a record $40,000 raised for Zephyr Education, Cocktails for Charity 2026 has become the most successful event in its history.
